Back2BackMaking the next turn readable.
Back2Back is a tactical card-game prototype. Players build a rocket toward a target or attack the opposing rocket, with persistent resources, defense and one action per turn.
At a glance
- The problem
- Players need to understand changing resources, defense and available actions.
- My contribution
- Explored turn boundaries, construction feedback and state clarity in a tactical game prototype.
- The outcome
- Working local-play and Practice prototypes, with a focused construction demonstration.

The problem & my role
A player needs to understand what changed, what is protected and what they can do next. Visual feedback should support a tactical decision without obscuring the game rules.
What I owned
I use the project to explore interaction pacing, readable state and feedback through a working prototype, including a focused construction-action demonstration.
- Interaction
- One action per turn
- Modes
- Local play + Practice
- Study
- Feedback and state clarity
Key design decisions
Keep turn boundaries and the available action understandable.
Outcome & reflection
The working repository contains local pass-and-play, Practice and in-memory private-room prototypes, plus a focused crane demonstration.
This is a prototype with known pacing and gameplay limits. It is not a launched multiplayer service. The diagram is an explanatory interaction sequence.
What I would test next
Evaluate a complete build, hit and repair exchange with clear turn feedback.
